Overwatch players might not find it very hard to switch from the original entry to the latest game in the franchise. By adjusting the in-game settings to their previous configuration should be enough for them to jump right into the action, but there might be some controls and sensitivities that players won’t feel the same as before.

Just days after the game came out, players noticed that aiming in Overwatch 2 isn’t as good as the original title. Multiple forums witnessed players complaining and many on Reddit were trying to find the root cause behind the aiming woes in Overwatch 2.

The difference in the game’s aiming was present during Overwatch 2’s beta. Most players thought things would get better with the game’s official release, but that didn;t happen. In this article, we will discuss the best settings for players.

Turning on High Precision Mouse Input

  • Launch the game
  • Go to Settings and then Gameplay
  • Scroll down and enable High Precision Mouse Input
  • This setting is enabled by default in Overwatch, but it can be off for some players in Overwatch 2

Altering graphics settings

Pushing the gaming system to its limits might not be a great idea. These graphical adjustments might improve the overall aiming experience.

  • Navigate to the in-game settings
  • Turn off Dynamic and Automatic Resolution Scaling
  • Turn off FSR and DLSS
  • Cap frame rate to one frame above the monitor’s refresh rate
  • Turn off V-Sync

Adjusting aiming settings in Overwatch 2

Aiming and sensitivity settings are about personal preference. For people just playing using the default settings in Overwatch could use the best aim settings in the second entry in the franchise. While console players will have more settings to change, PC players are required to find the best sensitivity settings that fit can complement the gameplay style.
