In the previous episode, the Straw Hat crew learned about a hidden history from Vegapunk, who mentioned a kingdom as advanced as Egghead that existed 900 years ago. This surprised the crew, especially Robin, who remembered her home, Ohara, being destroyed because its scholars learned about this ancient kingdom. Vegapunk explained that this hidden history involves a conflict between the ancient kingdom and the Twenty Kingdoms. Which led to the founding of the World Government. However, talking about this is dangerous, as the Government wants to keep it hidden.
Vegapunk revealed that Ohara’s spirit lives on through its surviving literature, hidden in a lake. This made Robin emotional, remembering her past with her mother and Saul. However, the crew blamed Vegapunk for the tragedy, not understanding Robin’s reaction.
Meanwhile, Luffy and chopper find out a giant robot and tried to find a way to enter it. They saw an old scientist trapped inside, who turned out to be the original Vegapunk. He helped the crew by teach them how to use the robot’s boots to fly, ending the episode.
