A logical explanation would have been if she had been in an accident that changed her spirit or mind. Nothing of the like occurred, and Miko’s life was completely upended—yet it was also entertaining.
Despite her reserved personality, Miko suddenly found herself able to communicate with those around her as a result of her newfound ability. She gained the ability to perceive the invisible and assist others in ways she had never imagined, changing the course of their daily lives. In the previous chapter, we caught a glimpse of it when she played catch with the ghost cat.

An intimidating-looking man requests a few pastries from the store at the beginning of Chapter 55. The man’s behavior and vocabulary were straight out of a horror manga, yet he had gone to acquire some pastry for the occasion. However, she recognized the speaker and even had a nickname for him—Baldzuka—so she could talk to him casually.
While accepting the pastries she had brought for him, the man corrected her and introduced himself as Gouzaka. In response to the other attendant’s startled question, “Did you know this man?” Hana confirmed that she did. The upbeat girl elaborated by saying they had known one other since she had adopted a cat from him and then mentioned the specialty pastries.
The cat passed on the pastry, even though it was edible, and simply strode away. His departure prompted the supernatural being to draw Miko’s gaze to where he stood. The cats begged him to get a lucky charm he had fallen and return it to him via Miko.
After all that happened in the previous chapters, Miko will be in the perfect celebratory mood in Chapter 56. Despite not adhering to human standards, our heroine had completed a straightforward delivery job for the spirits. The man had inherited the charm from his late wife, who had died in the hospital, thus it was meaningful to him.
Miko had cats that could lead her to the man’s house, even though she didn’t know his exact address. But the cats were unpredictable, and they followed strange routes. They led her to a dead end once, but she managed to get around it by going around the walls.
