Mr. Kim, in the previous chapter, successfully infiltrated Section Chief Shin’s office and stole Youngchul’s case files. Mr. Kim now has all the evidence he needs to take on Youngchul and his group in court.
Minji, Mr. Kim’s daughter, is regularly the target of bullying from her peers. When Minji finally snapped, she retaliated by punching Seul during a fight between the two of them. Now they’re both in hot water with the school administration. Seul grew up in a powerful family; her dad ran a major building firm. He was about to use his influence to get Minji kicked out of school.
Whereas Seul, who was the victim of Minji’s beating but refused to let the matter drop, hired boys to assault Minji until she cracked Seul’s head open with a rock. They realized the attack was lethal and frantically phoned a mafia crew to get rid of Minji’s corpse.
When Minji still hadn’t returned home by nightfall, Mr.Kim called her friend’s house to see if she was there. He learned that she hadn’t made it there, and when he went looking for her, he found just a lot of blood and her headband.
