The new Patch 14.1 is launching on January 10, 2024, bringing loads of changes to the game. The 2024 ranked season is start off with three splits, promising a unique climb from January to May. The biggest news is the complete makeover of the item system, saying goodbye to the Mythic items. Don’t worry, though only one champion, Hwei, is getting a direct change. Summoner’s Rift will also get a fresh look with trimmed brushes and new terrain. 

Get ready for new Void monsters, updates to Rift Herald and Baron Nashor, and even some cool new skins like Dragonmancer Fiora and Kassadin.

Full Item System Upgrade 

Prepare for a game-changer as League’s item system undergoes a complete overhaul. The removal of the Mythic item system marks one of the most significant changes in 2024. Familiarize yourself with the modifications, as nearly every item undergoes alterations or removal at the season’s commencement.

Champion Updates

While Summoner’s Rift and in-game items see substantial changes, Riot adopts a more restrained approach to champion alterations. Hwei, the latest addition to the League roster, receives a direct change, while the rest of the champions adapt through adjustments to items and the League ecosystem.
