Previously in Chapter 223

In order to repel Kiozan’s blazing vitality, Tokita opted for the demon’s bane technique. That was the only defense he could devise against Kiozan’s ferocious energy.

Kiozan unleashed the full fury of his sumo, while Tokita employed the hidden Nikko technique known as the demon’s bane. As was widely predicted, Tokita was struck in return by Kiozan’s technique, marking the first instance of a hit-and-run in a Kengan match.

Unexpectedly, though, the demon’s bane also connected, resulting in a tie. Kiozan’s rage had reached new heights; the demon’s venom had rendered him insensitive. Tokita landed a few blows and then attempted a naked choke. Tokita had a firm grip on Kiozan, but Kiozan was up against a sumo wrestler and couldn’t reach Tokita’s midsection with his legs. Everyone was curious about Kiozan’s chances of escaping from Tokita as he tried his hardest to buck him off.

Tokita tried to preserve his hold on Kiozan with a headbutt, but Kiozan had both hands on him and was pulling. After numerous failed attempts, everyone suggested that Kiozan simply collapses on top of Tokita until he passed out. Koizan’s friends and family all agreed that he was too proud to ever throw himself to the floor.
