We delve into the latest chapter of the action-packed series, “Jujutsu Kaisen”. Inchapter 216, we continue to witness the chaos surrounding Sukuna’s resurrection. The chapter begins with Sukuna entering the much talked about “bath” which has piqued the curiosity of fans since its mention. But before we get into that, let’s quickly recap the events of the previous chapter. Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 216 Full Spoilers: Sukuna’s Opponent Revealed.

In the previous chapter, we saw Maki and Yuji facing off against Sukuna in an intense battle, despite being outmatched. They managed to hold their own and keep Sukuna at bay, but their efforts were soon thwarted by the arrival of the powerful Uraume. With the use of their maximum technique, Maki and Yuji were frozen, giving Sukuna the opportunity to summon a new ally and make his escape. However, before he left, Sukuna mentioned the need to “polish up this form” and prepare for the mysterious “bath”.

Here are the Chapter 216 Pages Spoilers

Page 2-3: Uraume has dressed up ritual robes back at Zenin clan assisting the bath alongside Kenjaku. Uraume asks why isn’t Kenjaku finishing the Culling Games & he replies he wants to merge Tengen but first he’s interested in the “bath”

As a keen observer of Uraume and Kanjaku’s actions in the Cullen games, I couldn’t help but notice a curious remark made by Uraume. They asked why Kanjaku wasn’t finishing the games and his response was intriguing. Apparently, he intends to merge with Tengen, but first, he has a strong interest in the “bath.” However, despite Kanjaku’s seemingly advantageous position, there are still many unanswered questions about what has been happening off-panel and the significant time gaps that have occurred. It’s possible that we have missed an entire 24 or even 48 hours of vital information.

But what had happened was the soldiers that entered the game were successfully utilized by Kanjaku, and their cursed energy was incorporated into the game’s barrier. As a result, Kanjaku was able to defeat Sakumo, and Hang in (by proxy) as Tankin crawled up into a ball after the intense black hole battle. Currently, Kanjaku appears to have control over Tengen, and it’s unclear if he needs Tankin’s tangible form, given Tankin’s status as an abstraction that exists within the atmosphere. However, as previously stated by Kanjaku, he plans to merge the aspect of Tankin with all of the people in Japan using the Cullen game’s barrier to create a massive curse monster.

Page 4-5: The ‘bath’ was originally a ritual to incantate vessels that had been treasured as family heirlooms. The vessels are soaked for 10 months and 10 days in a solution of Cursed Energy… (1/2)

(2/2)…obtained by crushing and straining carefully selected creatures with an inhuman poison

The recent revelations about the encantation of vessels in the manga is fascinating and sheds light on an aspect of the story that we had never heard about before. It appears that this is not a new concept, as Kanjaku’s use of this method to reincarnate sorcerers into recursive objects implies that it was a common practice in the past. It’s worth noting that this process involves treasured family heirlooms, suggesting that it was a long-standing tradition rather than a recent invention. As an anime article writer, it’s essential to analyze these plot details and connect them to the broader narrative to give readers a deeper understanding of the story.

Page 6-7: Kenjaku asks why are they going through all this, to which Uraume replies it’s to get closer to the “Demon”. All this ritual is to supress Megumi Fushiguro’s soul deeper into the depths

We see a surprising twist as Kanjaku is seen asking questions, which is not typical of his character. He’s usually the one with all the answers, and it’s apparent that even he isn’t aware of the full plan. It seems that Uraume and Sukuna didn’t disclose everything to him, but he had to compromise because he needed someone as powerful as Sukuna to reach his goals. This development of getting closer to the demon is exciting.

And it ties back to the angel stuff mentioned a few chapters back. Angel had revealed that they knew Sukuna and referred to him as the “disgraced one” or the “Fallen one,” and now we see the demon stuff connecting to that. It’s possible that there’s an ascended level of sorcerers where, if you become strong enough and have enough knowledge, you can transform into something more, like angels or demons. In my previous review, I speculated that Kanjaku could be altering his own soul, similar to what Mojito was doing. This theory ties into Maki’s plan to cut Sukuna with her sword, which I believe will happen. However, it won’t be easy for Sukuna to die, and altering one’s soul might be related to becoming an angel or demon. As an anime article writer, it’s exciting to see these intricate plot threads come together, and I’m sure fans will be eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

Page 8-9: Sukuna completes the “Bath” ritual!!

After finishing his bath, he steps out and wraps himself in a robe once again.

Page 13-14: Scene cuts to Sendai colony where Uro & Ryu notices an incoming creepy aura from afar. Uro is totally scared realising who it is and says, “Here he comes, THE KING OF CURSES!!”

This is a major plot twist that has me on the edge of my seat. I never anticipated things to escalate this rapidly, but Sukuna has already arrived in Sendai and is rendezvousing with Uro and Takako. As we speculated previously, Uro seems to have knowledge of Sukuna’s identity, as it was subtly implied.

Page 15-16: Sukuna instantly arrives infront of Ryu & asks if he won’t retreat. But before Ryu could even act, Sukuna slashes him but he laughs at Ryu saying “What are you? I was going to cut you in three pieces, but I can’t do it.”

Action is heating up as Sukuna and Ryu face off against each other. Sukuna appears to be attempting to slice and dismantle Ryu, but Ryu is surprisingly able to hold his own. Despite being slashed, he manages to avoid being split apart. However, it’s clear that Ryu is visibly worried by Sukuna’s power, and we’re eagerly anticipating the outcome of their showdown.

Page 17-18: Sukuna apologises saying he underestimated Ryu but he would get serious for the next attack. Uro steps back & tries to use Granite Blast but before he could even finish his attack, Sukuna slices off Ryu’s face!! R.I.P

Sukuna acknowledges Ryu’s strength, admitting he had underestimated him, but warns that he will not hold back in the next attack. Uro steps back, preparing to use her Granite Blast technique, but before she can finish it, Sukuna swiftly slices off Ryu’s head, ending his life. It’s a hype moment for Sukuna’s power, but also unfortunate for Ryu, as he had a lot of potential and his character arc was cut short. Despite this, it seems that his purpose in the story was simply to serve as a jobber for Sukuna’s display of strength.

Final Page: SUKUNA ENCOUNTERS YOROZU!!!

The last page of the chapter, Sukuna comes across Yorozu, a sorcerer from the same clan as Sumiki who was taken over by Yorozu before. It seems that there’s a history between them because Yorozu had a one-sided crush or unrequited love for Sukuna. This encounter is intriguing, and I’ll delve deeper into it in my review.
