In the first part of I Obtained a Mythic Item, Jaehyeon builds a remarkable device to help everyone gather the resources they need to pass the next examination. Many people have commented on how smart and talented Jaehyeon is, with some even questioning whether or not any other student at the Academy could have accomplished such a feat.
Jaehyeon and Yoojung start brewing their potion once they have gathered the raw materials, and they add the final amount of components that will help purify it. Both Jaehyeon and Yoojung end up with low purity potion because the process fails.
A few days later, we see Jaehyeon and Yoojung discussing how bad their performance was, with Yoojung vowing to do better on future tests. Because they tested knowledge from the entire course, the practical tests were quite challenging. Every student had a different “cost” based on their abilities, but no team could have more than 50 people.
When Cha Hunsung enters Jaehyeon’s mind, he causes a traumatic flashback to the time when Jaehyeon worked with Hunsung in a previous life. This person has been harassing and bullying Jaehyeon since he was the weaker of the two.
Right now, Hunsung starts complimenting Jaehyeon and asking to join Jaehyeon’s squad because he has good talents despite being cheap. In front of a humiliated Hunsung, Jaehyeon stands up, insults Hunsung by calling him weak, and then goes to recruit Hunsung’s other friends for his squad.
