Halo Infinite players are already looking forward to the release of Season 2. Similar to any other multiplayer game, new seasons come with a lot of new content and additional features most of the time, such as co-op mode for the campaign.
However, considering that Halo Infinite still needs to fix some bugs within the game, Season 2 was pushed back further than was expected. It was earlier expected that the game will follow a three-month cycle each season, but Season 2 is expected to come out in Spring of 2022 as content gets sorted out.
While there is no specific date for Season 2 of the game, players can still save the dates for Spring of this year. To be precise, it could be May of 2022 could be the official start of Season 2 in Halo Infinite. Still, there is a chance that 343 Industries might change the launch date of Season 2. The game itself has been delayed a few times and the first season was stretched to a six-month duration, eating two seasons’ worth of time.
If everything goes as planned, the new season will come out in May and will bring along co-op and a new Battle Pass. Later, the plan will likely revert back to a three-month cycle for future Seasons. All new features coming to Halo Infinite in multiplayer will be free, but each season’s Battle Pass must be bought by the players.
Any player who couldn’t finish the Season 1 Battle Pass doesn’t have to worry. 343 Industries has already confirmed that players can continue leveling their Battle Passes as long as they are purchased, even for Season 2.
The Battle Pass has been popular amongst players, and there have been several changes to how XP is earned for the rewards. So there is a possibility that tiers and challenges will be changed as the Season 2 pass arrives in the game.
