GTA Online players are urging developers to introduce more vehicles that feature police sirens. Such discussions are giving fuel to a possibility of a Cops and Robber update in the game.
As of now, there is only one police-branded vehicle that players can buy in GTA Online — The Riot Control Vehicle (RCV). This vehicle could cost players a fortune in the game, but some players might find the price worth shelling out as the vehicle comes equipped with emergency sirens.
Well, this makes GTA Online players want to buy and operate police-branded vehicles. They also know how the developers should go about this possible addition to the game as well.
A Redditor who goes by the name “MrDrSirLord” took to the platform to share a screengrab of a Park Ranger vehicle that was parked outside their in-game home. What’s interesting is that an in-game message tells that players cannot park the SUV in their garage.
This incident forced the Reddit user to post and question, calling for the game publisher to allow players to “own something with sirens on it other than the RCV.” The popular online game is long due for another Cops and Robbers update, the Redditor said.

Players have been requesting a Cops and Robbers update for as long as they can remember. As per a previous report, Rockstar once planned on pushing a similar type of content.
However, the studio seems to have canceled the update due to police brutality protests that were sparked after the death of George Floyd back in 2020. According to a Bloomberg report, the Cops ‘n’ Crooks mode was supposed to take inspiration from the children’s game, splitting players into teams of good and bad elements of the in-game society.
After giving it a serious thought, the idea was scrapped amid concerns about how the audience would perceive the idea of such an update after what happened with George Floyd in 2020. If the reports are to be believed, it’s highly unlikely that GTA Online will introduce such a mode anytime soon.
