Grand Theft Auto 6 is probably the most highly-anticipated game release, however, no one has the slightest hint about when the game is releasing. For years GTA enthusiasts and insiders have been trying to unearth information, leaks, rumors, and theories about how the next game in the franchise would shape up to be and when it would release.

While there is still no word from the developer Rockstar about the next GTA installment, enthusiasts are convinced they have received their glimpse of when more news about the game will surface.

Did Sony tease a possible GTA 6 announcement?

Sony recently posted a TikTok that shows the “most iconic intro songs on your PS2” with the GTA San Andreas making an appearance. Naturally, this caused a stir among GTA fans and other gamers to pitch their favorite intro songs.

One user asked for an introduction to the game that was launched before GTA San Andreas, which is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. In response, Sony cryptically replied 20th anniversary is coming up too, sparking wild speculation from the GTA 6 community about the possible release of the new game.

Rumors have been rife about GTA 6 taking players back to Vice City. So, an announcement to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original GTA: Vice City’s release on October 29 would be the perfect time to announce a new game.

Of course, these are just speculations and nothing official is confirmed by Rockstar yet, but many GTA enthusiasts are hopeful that those eye emojis mean that Sony is aware of something fans don’t about the announcement of the next GTA game.
