When speaking of AAA title releases in the gaming industry, there is a no bigger or more anticipated name that pops up to mind than GTA 6. It will be Rockstar’s next iteration in the classic Grand Theft Auto franchise.

The game has been years in the making as GTA enthusiasts have unearthed several hints about the game having the Vice City setting again. Besides, the protagonists will be a brother-sister duo taking over the main characters, and bringing back some classic characters from the blockbuster franchise.

The game publisher has also confirmed that GTA 6 is very much in the works, and they are aware that they have to match the high expectations, but both GTA 5 and GTA Online are still a fan favorite despite being almost a decade old. Though, the company might finally be switching their full focus to the next installment.

Rockstar appreciates GTA 5 and GTA Online developers

Recently, some players – including Rockstar insider TezFun – claimed that the developers have rolled out an update on the ‘Thank You’ page for all 5101 developers who were involved in the production of GTA 5 and GTA Online.

“Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online represent the combined efforts of our global team over many years,” the page reads, before thanking all developers who worked on GTA 5. “We want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has contributed to these games, from their original launch in 2013 all the way through to present day.”

Upon finding this thank you post, some questioned if this is the end of the road for GTA 5 and GTA Online. “Time for GTA VI,” commented one. “GTA 6 is coming!” said a player. “V is finally approaching a well-deserved retirement and VI is coming,” another player added.
