Genshin Impact players have been calling for an increase in the inventory limit for artifacts, but it seems that the current limit may have been intentionally set lower than that for weapons.
Genshin Impact provides players with the ability to equip artifact sets to their 4-star and 5-star characters, which can be acquired by completing specific domains and utilizing either Condensed or Original Resin. Equipping a 2-piece or 4-piece artifact set bestows different benefits upon characters during combat.
As per the game’s mechanics, players can equip up to five artifacts on a character, but Genshin Impact’s artifact inventory restricts users from having more than 1500 artifacts at a time. Some players have requested an expansion of the artifact inventory due to the fact that vision holders can only have a single weapon.

A Reddit user with the handle XLNC07 raised a query about inventory on the Genshin Impact subreddit. They questioned the reason behind the game’s artifact limit being set at 1500, while the limit for weapons was 2000. Other players of the game concurred with XLNC07’s question and engaged in a discussion to come up with plausible answers.
Genshin Impact, despite its alleged exploitative business model, reportedly had a banner with poor sales. During the second half of Version 3.6, the debut of Baizhu and the re-run of Ganyu only managed to reach the 41st spot on the all-time revenue list, out of 47 entries. The performance of the Version 3.7 banners may determine if Genshin Impact will have a brighter future.
