The controversy surrounding the exclusion of Harmandeep “Mavi” Singh and his team from a slot in a BGMI tier one scrim due to “lack of achievements” has been the talk of the town in the mobile esports world. However, Tanmay “Scout” Singh, a top mobile esports athlete, recently covered the entire incident during one of his live streams, shedding light on why he initially did not vote in favor of Mavi’s team getting a slot and why they are now allowed to compete. Explaining the Whole Story Behind Mavi’s Slot in BGMI Tier 1 Scrim, as Shared by Scout.

Why Scout Voted Against Team Mavi’s Slot in BGMI Tier One Scrim

Scout explained during the livestream that the BGMI tier-one scrim was started about three weeks ago, around the last week of March, after he proposed the idea to 18 top teams to play BGMI every day. The teams agreed to compete among themselves, with the prize pool established by pooling a certain amount of money from each team. The collected total sum was then given to the winner, starting the whole cycle again the next day.

However, chaos ensued when more teams were invited to join the scrim, resulting in a decrease in the quality of the practice sessions. To address this, two more rules were added, including that none of the participating teams could change their rosters for a period of 30 days, and every team must have at least three tier-one BGMI players.

Mavi and his teammate Hemanth “Ultron” Sethi showed interest in joining the scrim, but they did not have a third tier-one player to include in their team due to ongoing changes. Scout did not make an exception for them as he would then have to do the same for others who were also facing similar issues.

Scout further revealed that he did not initially vote in favor of Mavi’s exclusion as he believed it was fair to follow the rules. He suggested that if the rules were followed, then Mavi’s team should not be allowed to play until they fulfilled the criteria, but if they completed their roster, they should be allowed to participate.

The End of the Controversy

Now that Mavi’s team has completed their roster, they will be seen competing in the BGMI tier-one scrim going forward.
