According to VALORANT coach, here’s how to optimise Viper’s value in your ultimate

One of the most expensive ultimates in all of VALORANT is that of the viper. The region around Viper’s Pit is covered in a poisonous mist that obstructs eyesight and lowers enemy agents’ maximum health to just one point. The viper’s ultimate is one of VALORANT’s most expensive items. A poisonous mist that obscures vision and reduces hostile agents’ maximum health to one point per square mile surrounds Viper’s Pit.

According to Jollztv, firing Snakebite too soon after deploying their ultimate is the top error Viper players commit. Because of how powerful they are inside of a Viper’s Pit, he believes they would be better off saving. Snakebite transforms from an inconvenience into “lava” that no one can touch because the ultimate reduces foes inside to one point of health due to decay.

If you’re a Viper player and you’re caught with your pistol down while deploying your ultimate, you could be extremely vulnerable because opponent players can still move through a deployed Snakebit without dying. In addition to passing away, you will have wasted your last moments with absolutely no benefit.

Jollztv even recommends and demonstrates the tactic of dropping a Snakebite on the spike plant as the Viper ultimate drops in post-plant settings. The opponent player in this situation would most likely be badly decayed and unable to even begin a defuse until Snakebite or their decay effect disappears, giving you as the Viper player the best visibility for delaying a defuse. Essentially, coach Jollztv’s advice to save your Snakebite charges for after you’ve used Viper’s Pit to effectively make your post-plants unbeatable is the most important thing to remember.
