eISL Season 2 will begin on February 28 in esports

Six matches are scheduled for the first week of the eISL’s second season, which is set to begin on February 28, 2023. The league portion of the forthcoming season will be played online; only the eISL playoffs, which will follow a format similar to the Hero ISL playoffs and take place in Delhi on the 6th and 7th of May 2023, will be a LAN event. The season will feature 62 total matches (55 league and 7 playoff), all of which will be webcast on the Hero ISL, eISL, and club YouTube accounts, respectively. eISL Season 2 will begin on February 28 in esports.

eISL Season 2

The premier matchup between defending champion Chennaiyin FC and last season’s runners-up Mumbai City FC kicks off the league this year. The matchup between the two teams promises to be an incredible barnburner. Karman Tikka will play his previous team, Mumbai City FC, in this game’s opening encounter. Mumbai City FC has a brand-new starting lineup and hasn’t kept any of its players.

Together with their colleagues Sagnik Banerji and Emaad Ahmed, respectively, Charanjot Singh & Saransh Jain, who last year represented India at the FIFA World Series, will face off against each other on the first day of the league when Bengaluru FC takes on NorthEast United FC. Two retained players, Shayantan Mondal and Arvind S, will square off in the other opening-day match between East Bengal FC and Jamshedpur FC. The following day features three more interesting matches, including FC Goa vs. Kerala Blasters FC and ATK Mohun Bagan vs. Odisha FC. The last match of the first week will pit title-defender Chennaiyin FC against Hyderabad FC, giving devoted FIFA fans plenty more gaming action to look forward to.

When Afnan and Vignesh of ATK Mohun Bagan take on Akshat Khandelwal and Shayantan Mondal of East Bengal FC in the crucial Kolkata Derby on March 28, it will be yet another fascinating match.

Aman Warsi, who qualified to play for Hyderabad FC in Season 2 of the eISL, will face Bengaluru FC in the first-week match between Hyderabad FC and Bengaluru FC in April. The April 19 match between Chennaiyin FC and NorthEast United FC looks to be a thrilling match, especially for supporters of ex-Machan Saransh Jain, who won the coveted eISL trophy with Chennaiyin FC last season. This year, Saransh, who recently joined NorthEast United FC, will play against his previous squad and have the chance to impress his new fans on a new platform.

On April 26, 2023, the eISL Season 2 league stage campaign will come to an end. Three fascinating matches are scheduled for that day. The third and final matchup features East Bengal FC vs. Bengaluru FC, FC Goa vs. NorthEast United FC, and Mumbai City FC vs. Jamshedpur FC.
