CS GO ranking system is the best way to gauge a player’s skill in competitive matchmaking. These ranks range from beginners to elite players. Regardless of how high or low, a player’s rank is, investing time to get better at the game will be worthwhile.
Players who are new to CS:GO, might require setting aside some time to earn their stripes. The leveling system ranges from one to 40 and rewards players with cosmetic skin drops and service medals. Once players are experienced enough, those medals change color for every 40 times they rank up in one year.

In order to unlock competitive matchmaking, players are required to reach level two by playing any of the game modes. Attaining level two will let them access matchmaking. Their rank won’t show until they win 10 competitive matches. They will be able to play mixed games with players from various ranks, but generally, players remain in the lower tiers until at least halfway into the placement process.
Once players have earned their stripes, they can see their rank under their username at the start-up screen and to the right of their username on match scoreboards. Players can only see their teammates’ ranks if they are at a party with them.
