If you are good at CS GO then creating your own config might be the best way to take your skills a notch higher. But there will always be a time when even good players want to have a look at professional players’ config. It might see what makes them so good in the game.

Sometimes players like how the pro player’s crosshair looks, or even test to check what changes they can make to the setup in the game.

How to use other player’s config in CS:GO?

  • Search for the professional player’s config
  • Download it
  • Find the zipped file and open it
  • Find steam folder, usually in ‘Local Disk (C:)’ files
  • Now, go to ‘userdata’ and navigate to the folder that corresponds the your Steam ID
  • Then, find ‘730’, then ‘local’, and lastly ‘cfg’
  • Players should ensure they have a backup of their old config
  • Now, players should insert the new config file into that folder

Once players have done this, they have a professional player’s config setup. For people who want to use this config without having to go through all the steps of looking for it. This is where an autoexec steps in the equation.

This feature will enable the game to load these files automatically into the game every time players fire up the game. This will include sensitivity, binds, and crosshair settings.

How to create an autoexec in CS:GO?

Players can use CS GO autoexecs anywhere if they are saved in the right manner. If they are accessible, they can be used easily. These are the steps to get your autoexec setup and ready for the games.

  • Players need to find CS:GO config folder in local files in the Steam library, going through Properties.
  • Now, the need to go into csgo, and find ‘cfg’
  • Now, create a new text document
  • Players will have to Write commands into this text document 
  • Type ‘host_writeconfig’ and save the file as ‘autoexec.cfg’ and save it as ‘All Files’
  • Now, players need to delete old txt file
  • Once done, right mouse click ‘Counter-Strike: Global Offensive‘
  • Now, players need to go to Properties
  • And, click Set Launch Options
  • Now, players need to write ‘+exec autoexec.cfg’ and click OK

This way all of the binds players have collected over time playing CS GO will be saved. Players need to repeat the process to alter their config and try out a few to know which onsuits them the best.
