The full range of weapon models is available in the download zip file. But the Taser is by far the most interesting thing. Players have only been led to believe that, unlike CS:GO, CS2 will finally feature taser skins as a result of this.

Various map modifications made with the new Source 2 engine were highlighted in the original CS2 showcase. We won’t see any map changes just yet because this small update only adds weapon models. But now that weapon models are available, it’s likely that maps and character models won’t be far behind.

The rumors of the impending release of CS2 were stoked by earlier updates regarding the “hackerone” policy changes. Due to the policy change, no developer is working on CS:GO to address any of the many potential bugs. The addition of a “June 14” date was the biggest update to the policy. This crucial point in the hackerone rules sparked a frenzy among Counter-Strike players and only served to advance the release of CS2 in the eyes of followers.

With updates occurring multiple times per week, it appears that the CS2’s days of remaining unreleased are numbered.   We should soon be able to test out the Source 2 update because, hopefully, Valve’s developers have fixed all of the bugs that were present in the CS2 beta.
