Before CS2, players of CS:GO agreed that one map should be removed from the pool

Counter-Strike 2 will soon be here; the release date is anticipated to be this summer. Players have decided that one map should be removed from the tournament map pool as its release draws closer by the day.

Players of CS:GO concurred on June 26 on Twitter that Vertigo should be removed from the list of available CS2 maps. In addition, many players thought Train ought to return and take the place of the skyscraper-perched map. Vertigo offers a unique setting with two levels that enables quick rotations on both sides. It’s fairly simple to rotate to the enemy team’s position or keep track of them once you have a general idea of where they are. Vertigo is one of the most CT-sided maps in the pool, though, so it gives teams with a strong T-side an advantage.

Both of these maps are undoubtedly well-known to CS:GO fans. Two of the few maps still present in the game since its 2012 launch are Inferno and Mirage. Both have changed over the years, but only Inferno underwent a significant overhaul in 2016. The only map in the pool that has been around since the beginning and hasn’t undergone a significant update is Mirage, on the other hand.

While we think it would be entertaining to keep Vertigo in the map pool, we also have to admit that bringing Train back would be thrilling. It is a unique example of a classic map. It would be a wise move to bring it back with the release of CS2.

Other players stated that they would prefer Valve to remove Overpass, Inferno, Mirage, and pretty much every other map from the list of CS2 tournament maps. Despite the arguments for each choice, it is undeniable that most people want Vertigo to be eliminated.
