Previously in Chapter 33

Aside from the challenge of developing an altogether new style of martial arts, Chun Hajin had to overcome the fact that he was now inhabiting a new body and begin training it from scratch. Six months of instruction can’t make him the same guy he was after a lifetime of conflict.

The Penal Hall captain complains in this chapter that he hasn’t been able to read Chun Hajin, and it seems you have the same problem. This chapter makes it quite clear that Chun Hajin never intended to be peaceful.

Chun Hajin told the captain this since the latter is not a fool and is aware of the power of the Fourth Lord. He is well aware that he wants him dead, and that their talk was merely a pretext for him to murder the Fourth Lord.

Chun Hajin slaughtered many, including children, but was himself defeated and hurt in the process. What did he go through, exactly? Did he solely engage in conflict with minors?

He now wishes to discuss the Demon Faction’s policy of nonviolence. Is this some kind of joke? That man attempted murder on him, his siblings, and his maid, and now he wants him to “just stop”? Is he indeed a resident of the Murim universe? Perhaps the next chapter will explain everything, or otherwise, the show will lose a lot of viewers.
