Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu, and other streaming services offer anime fans a greater selection of shows than ever before, and with every new anime season, there are even more fantastic titles to choose from. Although there is a vast array of anime to choose from, this also frequently means that there isn’t enough space for new seasons of already-existing shows. Far too many excellent anime films become little more than a 12-episode promotional campaign for the original manga or light novel series. 5 amazing anime shows, including Chainsaw Man, deserve seasons 2

Even the most well-known anime shows are still devoid of a season 2; some have been waiting for one for several years. Fans will have to wait until the highly anticipated second seasons of the more popular shows are confirmed before they can look forward to them.

Chainsaw Man Is Ready for More Gory Chaos This Season

During a competitive anime season, Chainsaw Man became an overnight sensation, outperforming shows like Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and My Hero Academia. Featuring gory fights and a cast of ridiculous antiheroes, the subversive Chainsaw Man anime both followed and shredded the shonen action rulebook with spectacular results.

While fans of the anime series can be relieved that a movie and a second season of Chainsaw Man are in the works, they will have to wait to find out when Season 2 airs, which is most likely to happen in 2024. Manga readers know where the anime is going, and viewers who are only interested in anime can be sure that the upcoming shows will either equal or surpass the offerings of Season 1.

Bocchi the Rock! Contains Sufficient Content for a Potential Season 2

Fans should at least have high expectations for the compilation film for the Bocchi the Rock! anime, which was announced to be in production and would be released in two parts back in May 2023. Nevertheless, there has been no word regarding this musical anime’s possible second season. At least there’s enough content in the original manga for a second season.

The Fall 2022 episode of Bocchi the Rock! was notable despite the presence of MHA and Chainsaw Man. With lots of endearing humor and high school antics, this fantastic musical anime follows a shy girl who pushes herself to join an amateur band and show off her guitar skills.

Season 2 of Oshi no Ko Will Undoubtedly Astound Fans

Oshi no Ko’s first season was notable for its dark drama and strongly subversive themes when it debuted. At first, Oshi no Ko seemed to be an average idol music anime, but it soon surprised viewers with some dramatic and unexpected plot turns that made them rethink their entire perception of what idol anime is capable of.

Fans of Oshi no Ko are already aware that the anime will receive a second season due to its popularity, and there is also a ton of material available in the original manga. Although a release window has not yet been confirmed, considering how recently Season 1 was released, it seems likely that Season 2 will debut in late 2024 or early 2025.

Grand Blue Should Make a Return in an Additional Anime Season

Grand Blue Dreaming, a comedy seinen manga series, was adapted into an anime for one season a few years ago, and in 2020 it was also made into a live-action film. All of that contributed to making Grand Blue Dreaming popular, but the manga has continued and now has more than 20 volumes, and the anime has lagged behind.

In 2018, the anime had caught up to the manga at that point, but there’s now enough content for two or more seasons, if not more. Unfortunately, not many anime fans seem to talk about the show, so Season 2 seems unlikely despite its high caliber. However, fans’ appetites should be somewhat sated by the source manga.

There’s Potential for More Vampire Romance Fun in Call of the Night

Even though Call of the Night’s first anime season didn’t completely transform the romance or vampire genres, fans of both could still enjoy some excellent offbeat entertainment. With protagonist Ko Yamori being protected by the female vampire Nazuna Nakakuza, the story delves surprisingly deeply into the hollowness of an immortal vampire’s life.

A happy but left-opening anime ending for Call of the Night suggests that a second season might happen. It all depends on whether there is enough interest in this anime for a studio to pick it up, as the original manga definitely has enough content for 13 more episodes.
