Liverpool are currently the most in-form team in the Premier League and arguably, in all of Europe. The Reds have been in sensational fashion since the turn of the year. They have won nine league matches in a row. Their latest victory over Arsenal (2-0) helped them narrow their gap to Manchester City at the top of the table to just a single point. The last time, Liverpool dropped points in the league was against Chelsea at the beginning of the year in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Since then, Jurgen Klopp’s side have been unstoppable in the league.

Their winning streak could not have come at a better time. With leaders and defending champions, Manchester City dropping a few unexpected points in this period, Liverpool’s incredible domestic run has made the title race ever so special. At one point in December, City seemed to be running away with the title, but credit to Liverpool for finding a way back in. It is their resilience, never-say-die attitude and the champions mentality that has helped the Reds become a force to reckon with.

What is the reason behind Liverpool’s winning streak?

If one looks closely at the Premier League statistics, they will notice that Liverpool lead the way in all of the significant categories. League’s top scorer is Mohamed Salah (20 goals), top assist maker is Trent Alexander-Arnold (11) and Alisson Becker (16) has the most clean sheets. Besides, Liverpool have scored the most goals in the division with 75 and have kept the maximum number of clean sheets (17).

No wonder the Reds are where they are. Liverpool are dominating all the departments on a football pitch. Be it in attack, defence, or midfield, the Reds have bossed all the areas against any team they have come up against. It is the collective effort that has helped them dominate the league in recent weeks.

What trophies can Liverpool still win this season?

Liverpool are still in contention for a trophy in every possible tournament they have played this season. The Reds are just a point behind Manchester City in the Premier League. Both teams are set to face-off on April 10th at the Etihad. The match could very well be a title-defining contest. Either way, the next couple of months will witness an intriguing battle for the league title.

Liverpool are also in the FA Cup semifinals where they will play Manchester City and in the Champions League, they are drawn with Benfica. Not to mention that the Reds have already won the Carabao Cup trophy, beating Chelsea in the final on penalties. It is scary to think that Liverpool could end the season with four titles. With their current form, it would not be surprising to see Jurgen Klopp’s team sweep it all in May.
