At the Asian Track Cycling Championships held here on Friday, Sarita Kumari displayed her skill in the junior women’s division. She did it by winning the bronze medal in the final race with a time of 36.966 seconds. In the para division, India also won two gold and a silver medal, but Sarita’s bronze-medal effort was the day’s high point. Sarita proved she was determined to compete in the final and won the medal by clocking 36.912 seconds in the qualifying round. Securing the bronze medal in the junior women’s division is an amazing sensation. Sarita commented, “The journey has been filled with hard work, dedication, and my coaches’ and teammates’ unwavering support.” She continued, “This medal belongs to everyone who has supported and believed in me throughout the years.”
Under the joint auspices of the Indian Cycling Federation of India, Sarita Kumari of Jharkhand emerged victorious in the sprint event of the National Track Cycling Championship. It which took place on December 3, 2023, at the Sido Kanhu Velodrome Stadium in Khelgaon Ranchi. It is important to note that the Indian Cycling Federation of India and the Jharkhand Cycling Association are working together to jointly organize the 75th Senior Women & Men, 52nd Junior, and 38th Sub Junior Boys & Girls National Track Cycling Championship at Sido Kanhu Velodrome Stadium in Khelgaon Ranchi.
