Sanju Samson a professional cricketer from India who has played for his national cricket team on multiple occasions. Samson represents Kerala state in domestic cricket. He is a right-hand batsman and wicket keeper. Samson served as the vice captain of the Indian under-19 team in 2014. Samson has long been a member of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. He is currently leading the squad for the 2023 campaign. His cricketing career began in Delhi, but he eventually relocated to Kerala. Samson was born on November 11th, 1994 in the Thiruvananthapuram region of Kerala. Samson was chosen for India’s squad of 17 players to play against England in a series of ODIs and T20 Internationals (T20I). Samson, however, didn’t get the opportunity to play in the entire series. Samson took over Ambati Rayudu’s place as he was injured during a 2015 series against Zimbabwe. He played his first T20 match for India against Zimbabwe on July 19, 2015. He was chosen for the T20 series against Bangladesh after a four-year absence, however he didn’t get the chance to play. For the ODI and T20 series against Australia in October 2020, Samson was picked. He wasn’t in his top form, therefore his performance wasn’t notable. After that, he was dropped from the squad for the next series with England.

For the 2012 Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders bought Samson. He didn’t get to play and was on the bench for the entire season. Later, he was released by KKR, and in 2013, Rajasthan Royals bought him. On April 14, 2013, Samson faced Kings Eleven Punjab in his first IPL game. In his second IPL game, Samson scored a half-century, and became the IPL’s youngest player in history to do so. Samson played for Delhi Daredevils during the two years when RR was banned from the tournament. He was once again signed by RR in the 2018 IPL auctions. Samson was chosen as the team’s captain for the 2021 IPL season.In his first game leading RR, he set a new record for a captain by scoring a century. Samson led his side to the 2022 season’s finals, where they ultimately finished as runners-up.
