Rahmanullah Gurbaz is an Afghanistan right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. Gurbaz was born on November 28, 2001, in Afghanistan’s Kabul region. His mother and father are from the Gurbaz Tribe. Gurbaz made his professional debut for Afghanistan A during their tour of Zimbabwe in 2017. He made his T20 debut for Mis Ainak Knights against Band-E-Amir Dragons during the 2017-18 Shpageeza Cricket League season. He was nominated to Afghanistan’s Under-19 World Cup squad and finished the tournament with 134 runs in five innings. Gurbaz made his first-class debut for the Mis Ainak Region against the Boost Region during the Alokozay Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament following the 2019 Under-19 World Cup.
Afghan selectors noticed his efforts for the Under-19 and Under-23 teams in 2019 and chose him to the senior team for the T20I tri-series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. He went on to make his T20I debut against the latter and, a few years later, his ODI debut against Ireland. On March 1, 2018, Gurbaz made his first-class cricket debut for Mis Ainak Region in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali four-day competition. Gurbaz was chosen for Paktia’s team in the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League. Gurbaz has played in a number of franchise leagues around the world, including the Bangladesh Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and Lanka Premier League. Gurbaz was given the opportunity to play in the Caribbean. Gurbaz was given the opportunity to play in the Caribbean Premier League. In July 2020, he was chosen by the Barbados Tridents for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPL)

He was signed by the Gujarat franchise as a replacement for Jason Roy in the 2022 Indian T20 League, although he did not appear in a single game during his team’s title-winning season. He was assigned to the Kolkata franchise ahead of the 2023 auction and will be seeking to make his tournament debut. Gurbaz has played a total of 58 International matches for Afghanistan including 17 One Day Internationals and 41 T20 Internationals. He has scored a total of 598 runs in ODI and 1019 runs in T20I.
