Pathum Nissanka Silva was born on 18th May 1998. He is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for Sri Lanka across formats. He made his international debut in March 2021 as well.
In January 2019, he was added to Sri Lanka A’s squad for the first-class series against Ireland A. He was the highest run-scorer for Sri Lanka A with 258 runs in two matches as well. In February 2019, he smashed his 1,000th run in the 2018–19 Premier League Tournament as well, batting for Nondescripts Cricket Club against Colombo Cricket Club where he finished the tournament as the highest run-getter for Nondescripts Cricket Club, with 1,088 runs in seven matches as well.
In November 2019, he was included in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. And, then in the same month, he was added to Sri Lanka’s squad for the men’s cricket tournament at the 2019 South Asian Games as well.

However, he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Sri Lanka on 3rd March 2021, against the West Indies. Meanwhile, three days later, he was named in Sri Lanka’s Test squad for their series against the West Indies and he made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 10 March 2021, against the same opponent as well.
He made his Test debut for Sri Lanka on 21st March 2021, against the West Indies where during the second innings of the match, he smashed 103 runs to become the fourth batsman for Sri Lanka to score a hundred on his debut in Test. With this, he also became the first centurian away from home on the debut series as well.
