Avesh Khan was born on 13 December 1996. He is an Indian cricketer. In December 2015 he was named to India’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup whereas he made his international debut for the India cricket team in February 2022 as well.
In January 2021, he was added as one of five net bowlers to India’s Test squad for their series against England. In May 2021, he was also added as one of four standby players to India’s Test squad for the final of the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship and the away series against England as well.
In November 2021, he was included in India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against New Zealand. In January 2022, Avesh Khan was named in India’s One Day International (ODI) and T20I squads for the home series against the West Indies. And, the next month, he was added to India’s T20I squad for their series against Sri Lanka and he made his T20I debut on 20th February 2022 against the West Indies. He picked up his maiden T20I wicket in the final T20I against Sri Lanka, finishing with figures of 2/23 in his four overs-spell as well.

He made his T20 debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2017 Indian Premier League on 14th May 2017. In January 2018, Delhi Daredevils bought him. He made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 5th February 2018 as well. He was the highest wicket-taker for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, with 35 dismissals in 7 matches. In October 2019, he was named in India C’s squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy as well.
Avesh Khan finished as Delhi Capitals‘ leading wicket-taker in IPL 2021 and the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 24 wickets as well. In February 2022, he was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League for a whopping price of ₹10 Cr, which made him the most expensive uncapped player in the history of the cash-rich league.
