Kuldeep Yadav was born on 14th December 1994. He plays for India and for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket as well. Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for the 2014 Indian Premier League and he has played for the India Under-19 cricket team as well.
On 18th December 2019, against the West Indies, he became the first Indian bowler to take two hat-tricks in international cricket. On 17th January 2020, in the second ODI against Australia, Kuldeep Yadav became the fastest Indian spinner, in terms of innings, to claim 100 wickets in ODI cricket, in his 58th innings as well.
In October 2014, Yadav was added to the Indian cricket team to play against West Indies but did not get any match. In February 2017, he was included in India’s Test squad for their one-off match against Bangladesh and made his Test debut for India against Australia on 25th March 2017 where he claimed four wickets in the first innings as well.

However, Kuldeep Yadav is the first left-arm wrist spinner to play for India in the longer format. He also became only the third bowler in Test cricket to claim four wickets on debut. In June 2017, he was added to India’s squad for a limited overs tour to the West Indies. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India against the West Indies on 23rd June 2017. He also made his T20I debut for India against the West Indies on 9th July 2017.
On 21st September 2017, Kuldeep Yadav became the third bowler for India to claim a hat-trick in an ODI after Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev. He picked up the hat-trick at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, against Australia as well. On 3rd July 2018, Yadav picked up his first five-for in a T20I and also became the first left-arm spinner bowler to scalp five wickets in a T20I during the first T20I against England. Even, he also became only the third Indian after another India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to take a five-wicket haul in a T20I as well.
On 6th October 2018, in the first test against West Indies, Kuldeep Yadav claimed his first five-wicket haul in Tests. On 6th January 2019, in the fourth Test against Australia at the SCG and his first Test match in Australian, he picked up his second five-wicket haul (5/99) in Tests, in Australia’s first innings. On 18th December 2019, against West Indies he became the first Indian bowler to take two hat-tricks in ODIs as well.
