Ajinkya Rahane was born on 6th June 1988. He is an Indian international cricketer and represented India in all formats. He was also the vice-captain of the Test team until the home series against New Zealand in 2021 after which he was removed and eventually dropped from the squad as well. He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL now.
Rahane made his international debut in T20Is against England at Manchester in August 2011 whereas he made his Test debut in the March 2013 Border–Gavaskar Trophy. His first Test century came at Basin Reserve, Wellington against New Zealand whereas, under his captaincy, India won the 2020-21 Border–Gavaskar Trophy in Australia also.

Meanwhile, two back to back centuries in the Emerging Players Tournament in Australia (201) helped Rahane secure a place in India’s limited-overs squad for the tour of England. He made his debut against England as a replacement for opener Virender Sehwag at Chester-le-Street. Moreover, in 2012, Ajinkya Rahane scored a magnificent century in IPL as well.
