Yashasvi Jaiswal is a professional cricketer who aims to play for team India Internationally. Yashasvi is a left handed batsman, who is capable of playing in the long run and score runs swiftly. In domestic cricket, he represents Mumbai and in Indian Premier League he plays for Rajasthan Royals currently. He was born on 28 December, 2001. Yashasvi comes from Bhadohi region of state Uttar Pradesh, India. Yashasvi became the man of the tournament in the under 19 World Cup in South Africa and also he was the highest runs scorer in the tournament. His father is Bhupendra Jaiswal, who is owner of a small hardware shop and his mother is Kanchan Jaiswal, who is a housewife. 

Yashasvi got himself a part time job at a local dairy in Mumbai. It was becoming difficult for him to give enough time at the shop due to his cricket training, so the shopkeeper fired him. Yashasvi used to live in Kalbadevi, Mumbai. When he was just 10 years old, he shifted from his town to Dadar, Mumbai and joined Azad Maidan for his cricket training. He had no solid place to live and a proper job to support his earnings, therefore he started living with groundmen in the tents and started selling Pani Puri. He was taken under Jwala Singh’s guidance after he noticed Yashasvi’s talent.

It was in December, 2019, when Yashasvi got selected in India’s team for the 2020 under 19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. His outstanding performance made him man of the tournament. He also scored a century in the semi finals against Pakistan. It was in 2015, when Yashasvi came into recognition. He gave such an outstanding all round performance that it got recorded in the Limca Book Of Records. He scored 319 runs and took 13 wickets in a Giles Shield match. It led to his selection in the under 16 team of Mumbai. In 2018 he was the highest run scorer in the team and also named as player of the tournament. Next season he again scored 4 half centuries and was among the top scorers in the team.

Yashasvi scored 203 runs from just 154 balls in a match against Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy while playing for Mumbai on 16 October, 2019. He set the record of scoring a double century at the youngest age of 17 years in List A cricket. He faced bowlers like Varun Aaron and Shahbaz Nadeem when he scored a double century. It was on 7 January, 2019, when Yashasvi played his debut first class match for Mumbai in 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. He made his List A cricket debut in September 2019 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Yashasvi, right from the beginning, is playing for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is one of the finest young, talented cricketers in the game.
