Kagiso Rabada is a professional cricketer who plays for South African team Internationally. Rabada has represented the South African cricket team in all the three formats of the game. He was born on 25 May 1995 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. He is often called KG by his fellow teammates. Rabada is a right arm fast bowler, who is capable of taking wickets in quick succession. In 2014, he made his International debut for South Africa. He became the first South African player to win 6 awards at the annual celebrations of the South Africa cricket board. Rabada has claimed a hat-trick in all the three formats of the game. In 2018, Rabada became the youngest bowler to reach the milestone of 150 Test wickets. 

In December 2013, Rabada played his debut domestic cricket match for Gauteng in a CSA Provincial One Day match against Border. Rabada became part of the South Africa’s under 19 team that played in the 2014 ICC under 19 world cup. He was the second highest wicket taking bowler in the tournament. He also recorded the best bowling figures of 6 wickets for just 25 runs against Australia A. In 2016, Rabada got the opportunity to play for Kent Cricket Club in county cricket, England. He signed a short duration contract with them and played 2 county tournaments and 6 T20 matches. He wanted to enhance his skills on the English conditions and therefore, he passed up the opportunity to play in Indian Premier League (IPL) that season.

It was on 5 November 2014, when Rabada played his T20 Internationals debut match for South Africa against Australia. On July 10, 2015, he played his One Day International debut match against Bangladesh. He had an outstanding debut match against Bangladesh, as he took 6 wickets and gave only 16 runs. He became the second player to take a hat-trick on debut in an ODI. Rabada’s Test match debut came against India on November 5, 2015. In the 4th Test against England in 2016, Raabada took his first 10 wickets in a single match and recorded his best bowling figures of 7 wickets in a single innings. With continuous top level performance by Rabada, he was ranked at the top by ICC. 

During a Test match against Sri Lanka in 2018, Rabada became the youngest bowler to take 150 wickets in Test cricket, breaking the record of Harbhajan Singh. Rabada took the most number of wickets in Test cricket in 2018. Against Sri Lanka in March 2019, he reached the milestone of 100 ODI wickets. He became the 8th only bowler to grab 200 wickets in Test cricket in South Africa. Rabada was included in South Africa’s team that played in the 2019 ICC world cup. He also played in South Africa’s team in the 2021 ICC T20 world cup. He became the first South African bowler to take a hat-trick in T20I, during South Africa’s last match of the tournament against England. Rabada also owns a production business named Kingdom Kome Productions, which he started in 2020 along with Cameron Scott.
