In 2020, he represented the Kingfishers team during CSA’s invented 3-Team Cricket format. On the back of some brilliant performances, he was picked by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. The South African came in as a replacement for Liam Livingstone, but Coetzee didn’t feature in any game.
