Anukul Roy is a professional cricketer who plays in India. Anukul represents Jharkhand state in domestic cricket in different trophies like Ranji trophy, Vijay Hazare trophy and others. He was born on 30 November, 1998. Anukul originally belongs to Samastipur region situated in Bihar state of India. He is an allrounder who bats with his left hand and bowls left arm orthodox. It was in December 2017, when he was selected for the under 19 India’s team for the World Cup going to take place in 2018. This was his first ever selection to the India’s team since he started playing cricket. He became the highest wicket taking bowler for the Indian team in the under 19 World Cup.

In the under 19 World Cup Anukul took 14 wickets in just 6 matches. He also showcased his skills in the batting department. He was initially a left arm orthodox bowler only, but eventually he proved himself to be an all rounder. As Anukul originally belongs to Bihar, but he had to move to Jharkhand to further pursue his career in the game of cricket. Before entering in the under 19 World Cup he had to face many setbacks. He had an ankle injury, because of which he had to miss Challenger series and also before the World Cup he had to take his name back from the under 19 Asia Cup, which took place in Kuala Lumpur.

On November 1, 2018, Anukul got the chance to debut for first class cricket. He played for Jharkhand in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy.

In the T20 format, he played his debut match for Jharkhand in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February in the 2018-19 season. He was selected in India B’s team for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy. In the mega auction of the Indian Premier League on February 22, 2022, Anukul was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders. Before getting into KKR, he was part of the Mumbai Indians side. He played his debut IPL match against Rajasthan Royals. He is a player full of potential and can prove to be an important asset for the team.
