Anamul Haque is a professional cricketer, who plays for Bangladesh cricket team Internationally. Anamul has represented the Bangladesh cricket team in all the three formats of the game. Anamul was born on 16 December 1992 in Kushtia region of Khulna, Bangladesh. Anamul is a right handed wicket keeper batsman. Anamul opens the innings and is a type of batsman who can give a solid start to the team. Anamul did his schooling from Kushtia Zilla School and later joined Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan. Anamul was part of the Bangladesh under 19 team that took part in the under 19 world cup in Australia. Anamul led the Bangladesh team and was the leading run scorer in the tournament.

Anamul scored two hundreds during the course of the under 19 world cup in Australia. It was in late 2008, when Anamul played his first class cricket debut match for Dhaka Division in the National Cricket League. He was called up early as compared to others, because of his work at the BKSP, the biggest sports institute of Bangladesh. In the 2017-18 National Cricket League, Anamul scored his first class cricket’s first double hundred while playing for Khulna Division against Rangpur Division. He scored 216 runs in that innings. Anamul Haque became the highest run scorer at the 2018-19 Bangladesh Cricket League, when he scored 658 runs in just 6 matches.

In the 2018-19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, Anamul was the leading run scorer for Prime Bank Cricket Club with 552 runs in 16 matches. Later in 2021, Anamul was named the captain of the side for the 2021 season of Dhaka Premier Division T20 league. In the 2021-22 season, Anamul became the first batsman to score 1000 runs in a single season of first class cricket. Anamul has been a part of several T20 teams in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). His first team in BPL was Dhaka Gladiators, as they signed him in 2013 season for 121,000 dollars. Later he joined Chittagong Vikings, Comilla Victorians, Dhaka Platoon. Anamul was signed by Sylhet Sunrisers in the 2021-22 season of BPL, where he scored 280 runs in 9 innings, including 1 half century. 

The International doors for Anamul opened in 2012, when he was selected to play against West Indies in One Day Internationals. It was on 30 November 2012, when he played his ODI debut match for Bangladesh. In the second match of the series and his career, Anamul scored a match winning century and was named man of the match. It was on 8 March 2013, when Anamul played his debut Test match against Sri Lanka at Galle. Anamul was part of the Bangladesh team that played in the 2015 ICC cricket world cup, however on 5th of March, Anamul dislocated his shoulder while saving the boundary and had to withdraw from the tournament. Anamul Haque’s performance in the team kept on decreasing after that. The last match he played for Bangladesh was on 10 December 2022 against India, but was unable to create an impact with his performance.
