Derbyshire, led by Leus du Plooy, did not have a great start to their campaign as they lost to Lancashire by four wickets on May 20 at Edgbaston in Birmingham as well. After being asked to bat first, Derbyshire posted 179 for five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Wayne Madsen stepped up with the bat, scoring 50 runs off 35 balls with three fours and four sixes.
However, Lancashire chased down the target with four balls in hand after opening batter Luke Wells hit 66 runs off 35 balls with nine fours and three sixes as well. On the other hand, Nottinghamshire are yet to play a game and they will be trying to have a winning start as well. They have Alex Hales as one of their familiar face and veteran Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will feature for them as well. Joe Clarke, Samit Patel, and Colin Munro will also be there as well.
The tournament won’t be seen on television. However, it will be live-streamed on FanCode.
