Ravindra Jadeja

CSK captain MS Dhoni has made it clear to the team management that they cannot lose Jadeja at any cost. Jadeja has been a crucial member of the Super Kings since 2012 and has won two titles in 2018 and 2021. Jadeja had a challenging phase in the 2022 season of IPL, where he was appointed the captain before the start of the season but did not live up to the expectations. Consequently, he resigned as the captain in the middle of the IPL 2022 which surprised many. But with the experience, Jadeja provides and his all-round abilities with bat, ball and in the field make it a straightforward decision to retain him in the Squad.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad is a dependable batter, and his best is yet to come. The IPL 2022 season has been relatively quiet for the CSK opener. He has managed to score 366 runs in 13 innings, which is slightly lower than his performance in the last two seasons. Ruturaj gives CSK stability at the top and can play the aggressor’s role too. Considering his potential as an opener, CSK will most likely retain him in the squad.

Devon Conway

Devon Conway was allowed to play for CSK this season after Jadeja stepped down as captain. The New Zealand wicket-keeper batter has three half-centuries to his name in the IPL and has scored a total of 236 runs. The presence of a left-handed batsman at the top order has been the mantra for CSK in the recent past. Conway has played some valuable knocks for New Zealand in the T20 World Cup and considering the form he is in, It will be a no-brainer for CSK to retain him.
