Sussex is placed at the third from the bottom of the points table with 8 points to their name from 4 wins and 8 defeats as well. On the other hand, Hampshire is placed fourth in the points table with 14 points to their name from 7 wins and 5 defeats as well.
In their last game against Kent, Sussex lost by 6 wickets which was Kent’s third win in the tournament. Kent restricted Sussex to 158, not letting the batting unit score much. Ali Orr top-scored with 36, but a late cameo from George Garton of a 16-ball 31 helped them to reach over 150. Joe Denly then led Kent’s chase with a 39-ball 58 at the top. Skipper Sam Billings’s 33-ball 43, along with George Linde (24) saw that they reached the finish line in 18.5 overs as well.

Hampshire’s nine-run win stopped Gloucestershire’s chances of progression after the bowlers did a stunning job in keeping them restricted to 169/7 in a chase of 179 in their last game. Ben McDermott’s 38-ball 50 led Hampshire’s innings, but his effort went in vain as the lack of support from the other end and bowlers kept taking wickets. In reply, a few early wickets and a poor start saw Gloucestershire being reduced to 64/5 as well. Late runs from James Bracey (40), Jack Taylor (37) and Benny Howell (34*) kept Gloucestershire in the chase but they couldn’t reach the target.
