The T20 Blast 2022 has reached its final stage where the semi-finals and final matches are yet to be taken place. While Yorkshire will take on Lancashire in the first semi-final, Hampshire will play against Somerset in the second semi-final on July 16, Saturday at Edgbaston in Birmingham. However, Hampshire last played against Warwickshire and won by 104 runs. On the other hand, Somerset last played against Derbyshire and won by 191 runs as well.

Warwickshire’s run in the T20 Blast 2022 came to an end after they faced an embarrassing 104-run defeat against Hampshire in the second quarterfinal. Opting to bat first, Hampshire openers Ben McDermott and James Vince adding a 93-run stand in under 10 overs. Ben top scored with 61 including four sixes. But the innings halted when both fell in the same over as well. However, Carlos Brathwaite finished with 4-31 as Hampshire struggled after the strong start. Joe Weatherley’s 47 helped them with a competitive total of 186. While chasing, Warwickshire lost three wickets inside the powerplay and the middle-order failed to contribute and they eventually bundled out for just 86 as well.

On the other hand, Somerset sealed their spot in the semifinals with a whopping 191 runs where they put up the highest score in the competition’s history with 265 and the 191-run win was the biggest win margin too. Rilee Rossouw scored a 36-ball 93. Along with Tom Banton, who played 73 pff 41, added a 102-run stand as well. Later, Tom Lammonby hit three sixes and as many fours for a 9-ball 31 and helped Somerset finish with 265 on the board. While chasing, Derbyshire lost Harry Came in the first over and soon they reduced to 43/5 in the seventh over and eventually bowled out for just 74 in 11.2 overs as well.

Indian viewers can live stream the T20 Blast 2022 on the Fan Code app. The ECB will again host live streams of every match on the ECB website and ECB app while Sky Sports is set to broadcast 19 matches throughout the group stage, with each county set to feature at least twice before the four quarter-finals and Finals Day. It will also be available via BBC Local Radio stations with extensive coverage also on 5 Live Sports Extra.
