The entertaining T20 Blast 2022 has come to its final part where the semi-finals and final matches are left. While the teams are yet to be decided for the second semi-final, Yorkshire will take on Lancashire in the first semi-final as well at Edgbaston in Birmingham on July 16, Saturday. However, Yorkshire last played against Surrey and won by 1 run. On the other hand, Lancashire last played against Essex and won by 7 wickets as well.

However, in the thrilling quarter-final of the T20 Blast 2022 game between Surrey and Yorkshire, the latter registered a single-run win. Surrey required just five runs in the last over with the set Jamie Overton (40) and Laurie Evans (35*) in the middle. But they lost Overton and Sunil Narine in that final over and managed only three runs and faced a heartbreaking loss. Tom Curran (36), Rory Burns and Shadab Khan also made quick cameos for Surrey. Meanwhile, Kohler-Cadmore (62), was the top scorer for Yorkshire. He shared a crucial stand of 93 with the captain Willey for the second wicket to set the foundation for a competitive score as well.

On the other hand, Lancashire thrashed Essex by 7 wickets in the third quarter-final to cement their spot in the first semifinal with Yorkshire as well. However, they managed to chase down the required 162 runs in just 15.4 overs. Steven Croft’s unbeaten 76 and captain Dane Vilas’s 23-ball 51 helped them in the chase. After losing Keaton Jennings for a duck, opener Philip Salt added a 73-run stand in less than eight overs with Croft and helped Lancashire as Essex’s bowlers failed to defend. Earlier, Essex put up 53 runs at the end of the Powerplay. Michael Pepper top-scored with 36, and Paul Walter too chipped in with an unbeaten 34, but it was Daniel Sams’s quick cameos that helped them post a decent ttal as well.

Indian viewers can live stream the T20 Blast 2022 on the Fan Code app. The ECB will again host live streams of every match on the ECB website and ECB app while Sky Sports is set to broadcast 19 matches throughout the group stage, with each county set to feature at least twice before the four quarter-finals and Finals Day. It will also be available via BBC Local Radio stations with extensive coverage also on 5 Live Sports Extra.
