Indian cricketer Rinku Singh poured his feelings for Dhruv Jurel on social media following the young talent’s exceptional half-century in the fourth Test against England in Ranchi. Accompanied by an old photo with Jurel, Rinku captioned the post with, “Mere bhai, sapne saakaar karane ka samay aa gaya hai (My brother, it’s time to make dreams come true).” Both representing Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, the camaraderie between the teammates is evident. Jurel’s stellar 90 runs significantly contributed to India’s total of 307, securing a lead of 46 runs over England.

Spinner Shoaib Bashir achieved his first five-wicket haul in Tests, claiming one wicket in the morning session. Tom Hartley dismissed Jurel just before lunch, concluding India’s innings. Jurel, in partnership with Kuldeep Yadav, frustrated England with a crucial 76-run stand for the eighth wicket. James Anderson disrupted the partnership, nearing the milestone of 700 Test wickets. Jurel, making his debut in the third Test, marked his maiden Test half-century with six fours and four sixes, emerging as another promising talent for India amid the absence of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
