Pakistan and New Zealand are set to lock horns in the fifth match of their five-match ODI series at the National Stadium in Karachi on May 7, 2023. Pakistan are leading the series 4-0, New Zealand have looked below par in this series. Fakhar Zaman is the leading run-scorer of the series and along with him Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam has also got big scores. On the bowling front, the duo of Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi have been brilliant as always but they might be rested in this game with the series already decided. It’s a great opportunity for Pakistan to whitewash New Zealand in the final fixture at the National Stadium.

New Zealand will be hoping to end the series on a high in the last game of the ODI series. New Zealand’s bowling has been below par in this series with most of their first-choice players missing from the team. Daryl Mitchell has scored two centuries for them in the series but the rest of the batters have failed to get a big score that is needed on flat decks in Pakistan. There is a fair amount of inexperience in their bowling lineup as Blair Tickner, Henry Shipley and Rachin Ravindra haven’t had a lot of international games under their belt and it’s clearly seen. The senior bowlers featuring the likes of Matt Henry, Ish Sodhi and Adam Milne, need to put in a strong performance against this impressive-looking Pakistan unit.
