Following two consecutive wins over New Zealand in the ongoing five-match ODI series, Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the decisive third ODI with hopes of winning the series as well. The third match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday, May 3. However, it was another clinical batting performance by Pakistan in the second ODI, courtesy of opener Fakhar Zaman’s third consecutive ODI century as well. The 33-year-old batter was at his sublime form against the Kiwis in the second ODI, compiling a swashbuckling of 180 runs off just 144 deliveries to seal Pakistan’s second-highest chase in the 50-over format as well.
Meanwhile, New Zealand player Daryl Mitchell ended up on the losing side despite registering a stunning century for a second game on the trot. Tom Latham also played a great knock but their performances in the death overs weren’t good enough as they failed to live up to the expectations as well. However, there is a great opportunity for Pakistan to register an emphatic series victory in Karachi as well.
The New Zealand tour of Pakistan will be telecasted live on the Sony Network and will be live-streamed on the SonyLiv app as well.
