Pakistan completely out of the race for the WTC final after their 3-0 loss against England

The English side had a commanding start on Day 4 as they cruised to victory with the low-scoring target set by the opposing side. Ben Duckett and skipper Stokes finished the chase on the fourth morning.

England won the third and final test match against hosts Pakistan on Day 4 in Karachi, clinching the series 3-0. Ben Stokes and company had already taken a 2-0 lead in the series before arriving in Karachi, having triumphed in Rawalpindi and Multan, but the goal was to complete a series sweep against the home team, which they did.

Babar Azam, on the other hand, was looking for a result after back-to-back losses in the first two matches of the series, but they were no match for the English team in the final clash. Despite playing on a flat track in Karachi, the Three Lions showed great character from the start and kept the momentum going throughout the game. Pakistan scored 304 runs in the first innings, to which England answered with 354 runs in their innings.

Young leggie Rehan Ahmed spun a web and captured a fifer against Babar Azam and Co. in the latter’s final innings which killed the game for Pakistan. England swept out Pakistan for 216 runs, leaving the former a target of 167.
