Northamptonshire will host India in the 2nd T20 Warm-up match at the County Ground, Northampton on July 3. The warm up matches will be a preparation for the visiting Indian side who are slated to play three T20Is against England from July 7 to 10. The fixture will be important for the visiting side as it will help them to acclimatize and get used to the English conditions ahead of the T20I series.
Following the first T20 warm-up, India will face England in the fifth and rescheduled Test match, starting from July 3. India currently lead the five-Test series 2-1 with the final match being called off in 2021 due to the Covid-19 situation. Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara has been called back to the Test squad after his prolific run for Surrey in county cricket while senior pros Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will return to the side after being rested for the T20 series against South Africa which gets underway from June 9.
The warm-up match between Northamptonshire and India will take place on July 3. However, as it is a warm-up game, no TV Channels will telecast it. But cricket fans can follow the live updates and scores of the match on the official accounts of Leicestershire and the Board of Control For Cricket in India (BCCI).
