Multan Sultans will lock horns with Karachi Kings in the eleventh match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League at Multan Cricket Stadium. This is a crucial game for Karachi Kings, as they have already incurred three defeats in four outings. Despite getting a poor start to their PSL campaign, Multan Sultans bounced back remarkably, winning their subsequent three fixtures comprehensively. Under Mohammad Rizwan’s inspirational leadership, the Sultans crushed Quetta Gladiators by nine wickets and followed it up with two clinical wins against Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. They are a team in form and will be hard to defeat at home.

While skipper Rizwan has led from the front with the bat for the Multan Sultans, the likes of Abbas Afridi and Ihsanullah have made the opponent batters dance to their tunes. Usama Mir has also weaved his magic, occupying the third position in the list of highest wicket-takers in the tournament. So, moving on to this face-off, Multan would like to sustain their winning run in the showpiece event. On the contrary, Karachi Kings have had an abysmal run in PSL 2023 so far, managing only one win in four fixtures. However, in the Kings’ defence, their only win came in the last game, where they steamrolled arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars by 67 runs, riding on a spectacular four-fer from Akif Javed. But, unfortunately, Karachi will miss the services of Mohammad Amir, who has been ruled out of this clash due to a groin injury. So, defeating the rampant Sultans in their backyard will certainly be a daunting task for the visitors. But as cricket is a game of uncertainty, the Kings shouldn’t lose hope and give their all to force an upset.
