The White Ferns will largely depend on Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr in the CWG 2022.
New Zealand women will face South Africa women in the third match of the Commonwealth Games 2022 at the Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday. New Zealand and South Africa are placed in Group B and will play their respective first match of the marquee tournament. The Group B includes the likes of England and Sri Lanka as the other two teams.
The White Ferns will largely depend on Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr in the CWG 2022 after showing brilliant performance in the bi-lateral series against India earlier this year. They will be looking to put their best foot forward after failing to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup earlier this year.
The South Africa women’s team, meanwhile, will look to replicate the performance of the men’s team which won the gold medal at 1998 CWG. Chloe Tryon and Laura Wolvaardt will be their key players with Marizanne Kapp not available for the marquee event due to personal reasons.

New Zealand women hold an upper hand against South Africa women in the shortest format as they have won eight matches while one was washed out. The White Ferns will go into the match as favourites.
