Melbourne Stars Women have won two games so far and they are placed third from the bottom in the points table whereas Melbourne Renegades Women have won two games so far and placed second from the bottom in the points table as well. However, both teams will try to win the game to keep their hopes alive in the tournament as well.
Notably, Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Sixers, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder are the eight teams which are currently taking part in the tournament.
