Kane Williamson, who was born on 8 August 1990, is a New Zealand international cricketer and leads the New Zealand national team across formats. Williamson made his first-class debut in December 2007 whereas he made his U-19 debut against the Indian U-19 team in the same year and later he was named captain of the New Zealand U-19 team for the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup. Notably, he made his international debut in 2010 as well.

However, Kane Williamson has represented New Zealand in 2011, 2015 and 2019 Cricket World Cup and 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2021 ICC World Twenty20 as well. He led New Zealand at the 2019 Cricket World Cup and led the team to the final and won the Player of the Tournament award as well. However, he is considered among the top four Test cricket batsmen, along with Joe Root, Steve Smith, and Virat Kohli in recent times. In June 2021, he led New Zealand to the inaugural ICC World Test Championship and they beat India in the final and became the winner too.
