After the stunning show in the previous contest, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to host Aiden Markram-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, Nitish Rana-led KKR started off their campaign with a defeat, however, they returned to the winning zone with two consecutive victories and have a healthy Net Run Rate (NRR) of 1.375 as well.
Meanwhile, SRH started off their campaign with two back-to-back losses and followed it with a win in their last outing against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2023. As far as their head-to-head records in the last five matches, KKR have an upper hand with wins on four games whereas, SRH have only won once as well. However, the orange army will look to maintain their winning momentum but a tough match is expected when they take on a strong and confident KKR team, in an away game as well. It will be interesting to see what will happen when the two sides will play against each other on Friday, April 14 in Kolkata.
